                                                       KNOXVILLE CHAPTER IAAP COMMITTEES


Budget Committee: Tina Piatt, CPS, Chair

Shall work in conjunction with the Chairmen of the various committees in order to present a complete and balanced budget to be approved first by the Board of Directors and then by the membership at the beginning of the fiscal year.

Bylaws & Standing Rules Committee: Regina Bevins, CPS/CAP, Chair

Shall receive all suggestions for amendments to the Bylaws and Standing Rules of this Chapter, prepare them in the proper form, and submit them for action by the membership in accordance with Article IX of these Bylaws.

  1. Shall maintain conformity in Chapter Bylaws and Standing Rules with the International Bylaws and the Division Bylaws and Standing Rules.
  2. May propose amendments and resolutions.
  3. Shall edit/correlate all proposed amendments to the Bylaws and Standing Rules of this Chapter and submit them together with the committee's recommendations and the reasons for the recommendations to the membership in accordance with these Bylaws.
  4. Submit Chapter Bylaws and Standing Rules and/or amendments thereto to the Division Bylaws and Standing Rules Committee for approval as amended or at least every four years.
  5. Assist the Board of Directors and the membership in preparing and submitting amendments to the International and Division Bylaws and Standing Rules on behalf of the Chapter.
  6. Review all amendments to International and/or Division Bylaws and Standing Rules proposed by other units of IAAP and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Certification CommitteeCheryl Hodge, CPS/CAP, Chair

Shall stimulate interest and encourage participation in the CPS Program.

Education/Program CommitteeRita Thomas, Chair

Shall bring before the Chapter the latest information and methods on the duties of the administrative professional and shall plan educational study sessions and other Chapter sponsored functions, i.e., programs for the benefit of members.  This committee shall be responsible for selection of scholarship recipients.

Membership Commitee: Nancy Crumpley, CPS/CAP, Chair

Shall direct all activities of the Chapter concerned with the recruitment and maintenance of membership.

Newsletter CommitteeTheresa Gervin,CPS, Chair

Shall prepare and distribute the official publication of this Chapter.

Committee on Nominations: will be assigned at the February meeting

Shall consist of a chairman and two members who shall be elected by the membership at least two months prior tot he April meeting.  This committee shall carry out the duties prescribed in Article III, Section 3 of these Bylaws.  The first member elected shall serve as chair of the Committee on Nominations.

Professional Development Committee: Judy Lovely, CPS/CAP, Chair

Shall be responsible for the Professional Development Seminar held each year to promote continuing education.

Retirement Trust Foundation CommitteeTrudy Baker, CPS/CAP, Chair

Shall promote interest in the IAAP Retirement Centers and shall devise and promote projects for the purpose of raising funds for the IAAP Retirement Centers Trust.

Administrative Professionals Week CommiteeJudy Lovely, CPS/CAP, Chair

Shall formulate a program to enable the chapter and its members to derive the greatest benefits from Administrative Professionals Week.
